Wisconsin Federation of College Republicans Spend Saturday Campaigning in River Falls

River Falls, WI - After the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Homecoming parade Saturday morning, Eau Claire College Republicans made the trip to River Falls to team up with the UW-RF College Republican chapter and work for State Representative Kitty Rhoades. “It is important for students to not lose sight of the importance of the these local elections,” says UW-RF College Republican Chair Casie Kelley, a Senior majoring Education. Together, students from the two schools covered the majority of the city of River Falls knocking on doors, getting Rep. Rhoades’ message out, and attempting to get as many yard signs up in the community.

“This was a great opportunity for Republican students from both campuses to get together to assist those who will represent our values in the State Assembly” says UW-EC College Republican Chair Bobby Hamill, a Junior majoring in Political Science. Everything College Republicans can do to represent conservative principles and build knowledge about candidates on campus is crucial.

The events are a part of a statewide effort entitled College Republicans Assisting Assembly Majority, or CRAAM. College Republicans from throughout Wisconsin have been traveling with Stampy city to city and campus to campus to aide Republican candidates in winning their Assembly races. You can track Stampy’s progress at wisconsincrs.org.
